Hilton Head Health Offers Focused Workshop to Help Overcome Emotional Eating
Hilton Head Health offers a three-day specialized workshop, facilitated by H3 Guest Presenter and Wellness Counselor, Johanna Smith-Ellis, to help individuals overcome emotional eating habits.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC, May 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Hilton Head Health (H3), one of the nation's leading weight loss and health retreats, offers three-day workshops focused on helping individuals overcome emotional eating behaviors. Healthy Transitions: Overcoming Emotional Eating will be held June 10th-13th, Sept. 30th-Oct. 3rd and Dec.9th-12th of this year. Facilitated by H3 Guest Presenter and Wellness Counselor Johanna Smith-Ellis, M.Ed, C.A.S., this workshop will explore the many ways in which emotions and everyday stressors can affect one's relationship with food. This workshop is limited to ten participants.

Workshop facilitator, Smith-Ellis, is a Certified School Psychologist and Counselor in a private practice and has taught a wide range of psychology courses at the college level for 15 years. Johanna has practiced in a variety of settings including schools, mental health facilities, residential treatment programs and outpatient addiction services. Her special interests include depression and anxiety, alcoholism, as well as both attention and eating disorders.
