Maria Coletta Conducts Obesity Research at Drexel University

PHILADELPHIA, PA, March 26, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Dr. Maria Coletta, Postdoctoral Fellow at Drexel University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in nutrition research.

With a particular focus on weight management and obesity, Dr. Maria Coletta is currently on her second year of research at Drexel University. She brings to her studies her experiences as a licensed psychologist in the state of New York and with the University of Rochester Medical Center, where she has been working for almost two years. Always fascinated by human behavior, Dr. Coletta considers conducting research on individuals to be the most enjoyable and stimulating aspect of her work. She attributes her success to perseverance and a strong desire to excel in her chosen profession.

Dr. Coletta holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Psychology, both from Drexel University. Additionally, she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from American University. Her professional affiliations include the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, The Obesity Society, and the American Psychological Association. She names Susan G. Komen for the Cure as her favorite charity. In five years, Dr. Coletta hopes to be working on her own grant on obesity and neuroimaging.
